I'm changing my name to my fiance's and I'm starting my information search about how to do it. I'm wondering if you have some advice about how to best to go about this.
I'm getting married in Vermont (where I was born), but I reside in Brooklyn, NY. It sounds like I can just write my new name on the marriage certificate and then use that as proof of name change for legal purposes. Do you know if that's the case, or where I should look for more info? Any tips or tricks?
