1. The invite says casual on the first day of the celebration (a night party) and formal for the second day (around 11 am). How formal is formal and how casual is casual for an Indian engagement party?
2. Do we bring a gift? This is the engagement party, not the wedding. But their wedding site has their registry on it. Is the registry meant only for the wedding or are we supposed to bring a gift?
I tried finding articles about common customs for attending an Indian wedding, but I can't find anything.
I have two weeks till the party, any help will be gladly accepted.
