my fiance is Sri Lankan but all of his closest family members (sister and parents) live with us in New Zealand. The wedding will be in Switzerland, where my family lives. I was thinking of making his sister one of my bridesmaids but she recently told me she was going to buy a Saree for the wedding. That would be ok with me if the wedding had anything to do with their culture but it just won't (that's a deal FI and I made but we will be having another party in Sri Lanka later on that year). Should I... 1.not ask her to be BM 2. ask her to not wear one or 3. not care at all, since her Mom and most likely some of their relatives that would make it from overseas will be wearing sarees too?
