I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the glass clinking and the couple kiss tradition? We're not having real glasses at our reception, so this is not an option for us. While googling, I came across several ideas, but my favorite was to have tables sing a song with the word "love" in it in order for us to kiss. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it, so I came up with a little poem to put on each of the tables:
What a wonderful day for Dudley & Michelle
You're all so sweet to wish them well
Today they start their wedded bliss
A milestone that should be sealed with a kiss
There's no glasses to clink or bells to ring
Instead you must do one simply thing
Gather your table, everyone must stand
And for a kiss make a gesture so grand
Sing us a song that contains the word “Love”
And kisses between the newlyweds you'll see plenty of
Thoughts? Any other thoughts on the whole tradition?
