I surprised my husband with a handwritten note, his favorite bottle of scotch, and 3 shot glasses for a toast with his groomsmen.  We had agreed not to do gifts.

I got all the dads monogrammed silk handkerchiefs which could be used as pocket squares.

She got them from My Mother Mary.  The link is in her bio.  And I must recommend browsing through her bio - it has been very helpful - IMHO.  :)

(See, I'm helping, not squashing happiness and excitement - HA!)

Awww thanks! Yeah Etsy seller My Mother Mary.  They turned out nice I thought.  I was really at a loss as to what to get the dads.

I got my fiance a nice watch and I am not sure about the dads. Do you always get the dads a gift even if they are not involved with the wedding?

I think it's a nice gesture to get a gift for your parents.  However, I'm not sure what proper etiquette states.
