Bridal Shower Decoration ...need help!

So my fiance and I are really into movies. I wanted to incorprate that into a theme for the wedding but decided against it. Thought it might be too much. So now I thought about doing it for the wedding shower. Any thought.  I wondered if anyone had ideas on decorations. I was thinking red carpet and ropes to enter into the room. And somehow using popcorn containers for centerpieces? Any more ideas would be great. Or movie theme bride theme games to play...thanks

Throw away cameras so guests can line up against said ropes at the entrance to play "Papparazzi" when you come in!

Also, director's chairs for you and the bridal party.  And fabulous sunglasses for all.  Posters for romantic comedies feauting weddings (ie:  My Best Friend's Wedding, The Wedding Planner, Father of the Bride, The Wedding Singer, basically ANY romantic comedy). 

I like this theme.  It sounds fun!

This sounds like overkill for a shower - which you will not be hosting anyway.

You dont host your own showers, so its not up to you to decide on a theme for one.

Just so you know, I was asked for help! If it very rude for you to tell me that it is not my place. I was just asking for decoration and game ideas, not your advice on me trying to plan it. I am not my best friend/maid of honor and my aunt and mom are throwing we are all terribley close and they asked me for ideas because I am creative as to what I wanted to do . I said I wanted a movie theme. And for the person who said it was overkill...screw you! You are def an "old hag" bitch.

So it's our fault that you left some key information out of your original post?  Next time try being clearer.  Believe it or not, not all of us have working crystal balls, not that it would change my opinion that this idea of yours is total overkill for a shower.  Oh and personal attacks like calling someone a biitch is a one way ticket to banishment from TK.

I didn't realize it was so important to include i was asked to be included on the shower....i just thought it would be a good place to get advice... I didn't know I would get yelled at from total strangers. And you are entitled to say it is overkill but that doesnt mean that i agree with you. As far as banishment, thats a ridculous word to use but whatever.  If you aren't going to give me any ideas for the shower then stop talking to me. My post was for decoration advice and so far only one person has givien it, instead of just giving yout bs opinions you should just stick to giving an opinion on the post. If you have didn't have any good ideas, then dont reply at all.

@ Ssanders -- This comment was totally out of line and uncalled for. No one attacked or yelled at you... they were simply letting you know the proper etiquette for a bride to not host her own shower. It's fine to come to these boards for ideas and suggestions---but it is not ok to come here and call people derogatory names. Your idea for a shower theme is cute and sounds like fun, but you definitely need a better attitude if you're going to continue posting on these boards. Most of the ladies on here can be really helpful... but posting this way will not do you any favors.

As for the theme decor ideas, I like the suggestion of red carpet, stylish sunglasses, popcorn bucket centerpieces and romantic comedy posters. You could also do some award statues, backstage/VIP passes, stars for a "Hollywood walk of fame", movie ticket invitations... there are so many ways to incorporate this, but it sounds like alot of fun.

You seriously need to lurk some more.  When you personally attack someone (like calling her a biitch) the moderator can ban you from TK.  You cannot dictate how others respond and if you don't include information there is no way we know what you did not write.  And not one single person yelled at you.
