Name to sign on Jamaica marriage certificate?
Hi everyone, im usually not one to post on this site, but ive searched everywhere for the answer to this question and just cant seem to come up with one!
OK, im getting married June 27, 2011 at Beaches negril. My question of concern is what will they make me sign on the marriage certificate? Will they make me sign my old maiden last name, or my new one?
The reason im asking is because I want to do a legal name change, and make my maiden name my new middle name. Im just not thrilled with giving up my maiden name completely. Im scared that if they make me sign my new name, its going to somehow come back to me where I wont be able to do a legal name change here in the states.
If anybody has any ideas, or has gotten married at a beaches resort in Jamaica, let me know!! Thanks so much!
