I am the daughter of a diceased firefighter and I also happen to be marrying a firefighter. Any ideas on how I can incorporate the firefighter theme into the wedding without being too extreme. We are having a very traditional wedding and a large portion of our guests are firefighters.

[QUOTE]Leave in a firetruck! My uncle did that for his wedding (he's a volunteer fireman) and it was really cool.

good luck
Dollar tree has plastic Jr. Fireman helmets and I poked holes on 2 sides and attached a ribbon through and we might use it as our flowergirl basket. You could also put these on the reception tables. My mom said something about trying to find little fireboots to use as decorations with flowers on the tables.
That cake and the garters are super cute! I thought about adding a firefighter related charm to my garter.
[QUOTE]FI is a fire fighter too! The trucks will be at the ceremony and we will also have the honor guard there. For the reception I found the awesome fire helmet planters that are perfect for centerpieces. They are low and are perfect to fill with flowers. I wanted to incoporate something like this for him but did not want it to be the focus of the wedding. I got them from firebell.com. The guy I spoke to was awesome. Also, we were looking at cake toppers. We haven't found one yet, but there are a lot out there.
