Frustration Changing Date

So the good thing is I haven't booked anything solid...bad thing is I have to change my date to the next weekend. Most likely it will be saturday July 21st. This makes my deciding a venue much more difficult. My officiant that is very important to me is unavailable that day. Here's to trying again!

  • Aww, that's too bad.  But it's only a week--at least nothing has been booked that can't be changed!  Why will moving it a week make it harder do you think--have you already looked at places that aren't available?

Are you going from a Sunday to a Saturday?
If I remember correctly you were only a day away from my date?
  • Mainly its the fact that its July and a lot of places are booked. The reason it might be saturday is the venue I'm currently looking at has saturday available at the same price as sunday and my out of town people would prefer saturday.

A week isn't too bad but I did already get free vistaprint save the dates that will now be void. Oh well at least they were free...and I'm thiking of maybe adding a 3D sticker to it to make it look like it wasn't an accident? lol

  • I got engaged at Christmas and I am getting married July 14 (a Saturday). I have had some problems getting vendors, but not a TON. By far my biggest struggle was finding a photographer. You may also have some problem finding a DJ/ band but we wanted a relatively obscure band.
We didn't get our ideal rehearsal dinner spot, but that's not a huge deal either.

So, if you do decide to do it I would say first three items should be: Photographer, DJ, and Dress.
    It CAN be done!
