Re: cake topper

  • Only if you want one :-)

  • Nope, it's just for decoration!

You can also have flowers, a bow or nothing at all on top of the cake. :)

It's your day. If you want a  topper then get a  topper if not then dont

  • I thought I needed a cake topper, but then realized that some fresh flowers would look just as nice (and be cheaper). So glad I didn't waste $30 on something that would never be used again!

  • We also just did fresh flowers - couldn't find a cake topper we liked.

  • We are using a monogram cake topper. I found one real cheap at Hobby Lobby, you can find nicer ones but we just don't care. We will have a ribbon on the cake as well. We thought about flowers, but we are both allergic so we want to limit the flowers.

No it's not necessary. I'm haing flowers On top of my cake but I've seen gorgeous cakes without anything on the top tier.
  • If you are having trouble finding one you like, try etsy.  They have thousands of cake toppers!  H and I got our cake topper from a seller on etsy who made little peg dolls that resembled us.  It's adorable and something we are displaying in our home too.

But as PP said, you don't need one if you don't want one!
