Ladies! The situation with my FI family is very sticky... My FI and his father talk on the telephone - but he wants nothing to do with his mother. I am very supportive of his decision (for many reasons) but he is very close with my family. My father passed away unexpectedly last spring so our wedding will be bittersweet nonetheless.
With that being said - my FI (and me also) want to recognize my mom during the ceremony by hugs and a flower (or something like that) but doesn't want to include his mother - she probably won't even show up to the wedding. Any ideas on something to do a little different for my mom or ceremony ideas for a parent?
