Not Normal??

I was thinking about having my cousins son (will be about 4) for our ring bearer and possibly my younger sister as the flower girl, (she will be 11). First of all, what are the opinions on having such an age diff between the two? Also, is it an insult or anything to have the same ring bearer that my cousins just had at their wedding?? Also, if the flower girl age is to old, what are some other ideas besides junior bridesmaid to keep her feeling like she's a part of the whole thing?

I might ask her what she wants.  Children that age can be a bit, well, picky.  She may not like the "Junior" bridesmaid title, so you would call her a bridesmaid, and include her in some of the activities, but not others. For example, if your friends are throwing you a shower, I might include her in that, but not, of course, a bachelorette party! 

She also could say that she doesn't want to be a bridesmaid, but wants to be a FG.  My niece BEGGED me to be a flowergirl, and she was 16 at the time, and 6 feet tall!    However, we ended up getting married on the beach, with no attendants and no guests, so FG was not an option.

I was in a similar situation and asked my sister to be a BM.  She would never have wanted a "baby" job.  She is very important to me and I wanted her standing beside me.  I cannot imagine excluding her from this because of her age.  Also, she definitely was not titled a junior bridesmaid.  She did exactly what my other girls did all day long.

My two sisters (7 and 10) are both Junior Bridesmaids and then my cousins (2 and 4) are the flower girls. My sisters wanted to be junior bridesmaids instead of flower girls! They wanted to stand with their sister instead of just walk down the isle. It worked with me too because I have two younger brothers too.

I would ask her what she wants to do, then go from there.
