My Groom wants his ring before the wedding??

My fiance wants to have his ring before the wedding, which I love the idea of... but what do I give him at the ceremony?? Do i just take it back before? Or should i get him a temp ring and save his real one until then???

Has anyone else given their groom an engagement ring?????

I gave my fiancee a commitment ring before we got engaged. We are planning on taking off our rings, my engagement and his commitment, and using them as our wedding rings.

My FI wears a gold band on his left hand that I gave him years ago for an anniversary present. I have a matching band and originally they were worn on our right hands. Couple of years ago he switched it to the left. No one said anything to him. His wedding band is a black tungsten ring. He'll take off the gold band for the ceremony so I can put the black one on. But come Monday morning when he goes back to work, he;ll be wearing the gold one because a) tungsten is not allowed on construction sites b) he doesnt want to ruin it.

We just took our rings off before our ceremony Worked fine. He started wearing his the day it came in.

mine's been wantinig to wear his every since we got it. I keep telling him no because I can't have my diamond band! LOL

but I guess I just feel like it needs to be blessed first, we dont' need any more bad karma around!

my husband really wanted an engagement ring, so we had one made for him at the same time we had mine done.  at the wedding ceremony we used his grandfather's wedding band.  these days he just switches off between the two.  sometimes he'll go months just wearing one, and switch to the other for other times.  i think he prefers the e-ring though (more diamonds!)...i don't really care as long as he wears a ring.
