Hi everyone,
FI & I plan to incorporate a unity candle into our ceremony. He asked a very good question about the lighting of the candlesticks. My parents are divorced - my Mom hardly tolerates my Dad, only for my sake - and my Dad could care less. FI's parents are happily married. Since the lighting of each candle represents the family, we are wondering what everyone's thoughts are on how to handle this part of the ceremony? We want both sets of parents to light the candle but don't want my parents to feel uncomfortable/awkward.
Thank you!
