Groomsmen attire

Hello!  We are getting married on the beach in the Dominican Republic at sunset.  My girls are wearing guava dresses.  http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Jersey-A-line-with-Ruched-Charmeuse-Bust-F13291_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-All-Bridesmaid-Dresses

I am stuck what to have groomsmen wear.  We want drawstring linen pants but are having a hard time finding shirts.  We have put together a color scheme... guava with the accent colors: pewter, silver, ivory and champagne.  Any suggestions on shirts?  I don't think khaki (I only like the darker khaki) would look good with any of the above colors.  And I'm not a fan of the matching guava shirts.  We want something different and still fashionable.  We do like the Cuban style shirts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Also... what about the groom?  I don't want him to match all the groomsmen.  Thx!
  • AJust have them wear no shirts- they'll all look like Fabio!

I agree.  Give FI a different bout to help him stand out slightly from the other guys.  Regardless, people will know which guy is the one getting married though. :)

  • Ivory shirts would look fine and they go with your color scheme.

Guayabera shirts are easy to find and look great for beachy weddings (I think that's what you're referring to when you say "Cuban style shirts"- they're very common throughout the Caribbean and would fit in beautifully).  They can also be found in just about any color.

What color pants will they wear?  Drawstring linen pants makes me think they'd be in the ivory/champagne/light khaki family- in which case, you could do maybe navy blue guayaberas.

The groom could do a linen suit- maybe in a camel color- with a white or ivory shirt depending on your dress color.
