the typical something old, new, borrowed, blue

I got a new set of pearls from my parents and earrings to match at my shower. My friend is lending me a hankie (from 1920) it has a blue edge, borrowed, blue, and old. What should I count that as? I thought about carrying the collar of the dog I lost a few years ago (a chihuahua) on my ankle as my something old, but is that old enough? My new is obviously my pearls, borrowed I was thinking that hankie or for my old, my blue is my garter has a blue bow. So question being wearing my dog's collar is that old? I know it's not a big deal and some people won't understand but that dog was my life and I still miss him, I want him there with me in spirit. I have a tattoo on my ankle of his collar(the one I'd wear as an anklet) and a paw print. My dress is to the floor so noone will see. Thoughts?

I think that if that's what you pick, then you're fine! It doesn't really matter whether or not others can see it. This is going to be your wedding day... I mean, some ladies choose to embroider a blue monogram under the skirt of their dress or wear blue undies as their "something blue" and the other guests won't see those!

You don't have to have one idividual item for each aspect.  The hankie could be both the borrowed and blue.

I did not do the collar. I would love to but hubby didn't like it. I had it close by. We figured it all out tho. :

If it is important to you, to carry the collar then do it. You get to determine how the something old/ blue relates to your wedding.
