Limo Rental?

I know I need to rent a limo the day of the wedding for the bridal party, but i'm not sure about the specifics....

How long do i rent the limo? Is it supposed to take us to the church before the wedding? Then to the photos? Then to the reception? Then home?

I have 8 bridesmaids and he has 8 groomsmen. Who else do I include in the limo? What should I be paying? What is the standard cost?

A limo is optional.  If you decide to get one, you can do what you want with it, depending on your logistics.  You could just let people drive, you could do a party bus, or just a bus, or a trolley or limo or any number of things.

For our wedding, the ladies (BMs and moms) got ready at my house and the guys (just GM) got ready at the hotel.  The limo picked up the women and took us to the church for pics, then it went and got the guys for the same.  The dads drove their own cars to the church.  Then the whole wedding party rode in the limo from the church to the reception, and the moms rode with the dads in their car.  The WP dates drove their own cars from their homes to the church, and from the church to the reception.  Then after the reception, DH and I took a different car to our hotel, and the WP rode home with their dates.  

If you plan to drive around and do a lot of pictures between your ceremony and reception, you'll want to include WP dates in the limo.  Don't make them sit around the cocktail hour with a bunch of strangers.  Also, if your WP are coming from out of town, you'll probably need to include their dates so that they aren't forced to rent cars.

You absolutely do not have to rent a limo.  Just make sure you coordinate a ride for everyone.

You don't need to cart around the whole wedding party.. if your bridemaids, and goomsmen want to be limo'ed they can pool their money for a ride.. we are getting a Wedding Car to take us from the Church to the Reception its a restored vintage Rolls Royce.. no room for anyboby but us
