Paid for Our Wedding ourselves

It does suck for you - I know I'd be incredibly jealous. But traditionally the bride's family does pay for the bulk of the wedding. Are your in-laws sticklers for tradition?

Try not to let it get to you. What's done is done and now you have a really amazing party you get to look forward to attending! Also, this probably isn't a Christian thought, but I'd probably totally be smug knowing that I paid for my wedding myself and didn't need mommy and daddy's help. But that's just me.
