I'm not planning on having dancing at my wedding. But the few friends I've mentioned it to have looked at me like I'm completely crazy. It's not like I'm going to STOP people from dancing if they want to, but we plan to skip the traditions of the first dance, etc.
Neither my fiancé or myself have ever danced or have any desire to dance, and neither of our immediate families are the dancing/partying type. The style of our wedding is pretty casual, no assigned seating for the reception and buffet-style catering. We're having a classical guitarist playing for the ceremony but are DIYing the reception music with iPod and sound system.
So it seemed pretty natural to skip the dance traditions. But now I'm questioning myself based on the reactions of a few guests so far. Will everyone think I'm a horrible bride if we don't dance? Has anyone ever been to reception without dancing?
