how ushers seat guests

I have a kind of stupid question...

Okay so.... I've been checking out some different ways to decorate the aisle  for out wedding.  One of the things I have founds was a garland that went all the way down the aisle attaching to the chairs.  My only problem is then how do the ushers seat the guests? I know they walk them down the sides but has any one been to a wedding were they did this?? I just wondered how it "works".....

Re: how ushers seat guests

  • If you use the garland down the center aisle, then your ushers have to seat by using the other side of the aisle.

Frankly, I'd skip the garland.  it's a lot of time, effort, and $$ for little gain.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • If you have something running down the chairs then, yes, your ushers will have to seat them from the outside which is no big deal.  They just seat guests like normal only from the outside...
  • We had our aisle blocked off until the processional started so guests wouldn't walk on the aisle runner.  The Ushers just seated guests from the side aisles.  It's no big deal.
