Only one single guy-garter toss?

I would love to have a garter toss but the Best Man is the only single guy coming all the other guys that were single have since become engaged.  Is there another way to  incorporate the garter?

Re: Only one single guy-garter toss?

  • If you MUST have the garter toss, skip the "single guys" thing.  For both the bouquet toss and the garter toss, ask all ladies (bouquet) and all men (garter) to come out onto the floor for "good luck" for the bride & groom.

It's really far more comfortable to have everyone on the floor than to be singled out as the poor, pathetic singles at the wedding, which is what I find people feel like for these old outdated traditions.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • i agree do them both together.
  • I would just skip it all together.

  • That's a great idea to do them together! I went to a wedding about a year ago and I was the only "single" one there. It was a really small wedding and I was really close to the bride and groom so what they did was when she did the bouquet toss she called me up (they told me they were going to do this) and she threw the bouqet and I caught it, of course :) Everyone cheered and the pictures are priceless!
