I am from the US, my man is from England, and my dad thinks its only fair if I have two weddings, one in the US and one in the UK. I am afraid my guests will be confused as to why they have the option to attend one of two weddings, and the result will be English people at one wedding and US people at another.
I also think the saying of the vows will not mean as much if I say my vows twice. Is it even legal to get married to the same person in two different countries? Am I right in thinking this is weird, or is my dad correct in saying it is only "fair" to have two weddings. Isn't the wedding traditionally supposed to be at the bride's hometown?
I know Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise got married in 3 places, but I am NOT a celebrity.
