Serbian Orthodox program

Does anyone know where I can find a template or sample of teh wording for a Serbian Orthodox wedding program?  I don't need the standard "who's in the wedding" program...I need one that explains to our non-Orthodox guests what the symbolism is of everything we are doing...hand tying, crowning, common cup etc.

Thanks!

Re: Serbian Orthodox program

  • I'm Macedonian Orthodox.  Our priest actually printed us out a program that explained all of that.  Have you talked to your priest?  If your priest doesn't offer anything like that, I need to type it up anyway.  If you can't get it from him, I'll c&p for you.

  • I'm Greek Orthodox and we have just been collecting from previous weddings and compiling them to make it personal.  Have you been to any recently?  Maybe ask the bride and groom if you can use it.

  • This is the only thread I found about Serbian Orthodox weddings. Anyone heard of incorporating Jewish tradiitons also? My fiance is half Jewish/half Catholic, so we wanted to do some of his traditions as well but have the ceremony in my church as it is important to me. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • I am Greek Orthodox. Honestly, I was just playing around with my computer, and typed in "sample Greek Orthodox wedding programs" and WA LAH! There they were, much to my suprise. Wasn't expecting that to happen.
