Does the Bride's garter go on her right or left leg?

Is the bride's garter supposed to go on her right or left leg? looked on a few sites and have been gettin different answers...some say left, some say right.

hmm i dont think it really matters honestly .. ill be wearing mine on the right

Always the right; if you wear both a tossing garter and 'keeper' garter, both go on the right.

I don't think it really matters which leg it goes on, although from what I have seen from just googling around is that it traditionally goes on the right. In either case, make sure the groom knows which one its on!
