Wedding Traditions

I am the last one of my sisters and the youngest to get married. So both my parents want to walk me down the aisle at the church will this look bad or weird?

Re: Wedding Traditions

  • It will look lovely, and honestly,  is not all that unusual. GL
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146

  • I've seen this more often than just the dad escorting the bride down the aisle.

  • It is actually becoming more common to do it that way. I think it will be a beautiful moment that you all can share on your special day.

That's the  norm in Jewish wedding so that's what I'm used to. But I'm also seeing it more in weddings of other faiths and secular weddings too. Makes sense to me -- why should it just be dad who gets the honor?
  • Not unusual at all.  I think a lot of brides are opting for that option now.

  • Many brides are doing this now.  Go for it if it is want you want.
