I was trying to plow through some wedding stuff this afternoon and was thinking about assigning the ushers. From my side of the family, I wanted to have my two brothers, who aren't going to be involved in the wedding otherwise, as well as two of my close male cousins. When I was chatting with my fiance and was telling him about my planning progress, he told me that it wasn't my job to assign ushers and he was supposed to pick them out and that he had already kind of decided to ask his four male cousins. What is proper etiquette here?? How else can I involve my brothers if they aren't going to be ushers?
