My future husband and I are having our wedding ceremony on the 12th of August, away from home, but it is still considered a destination wedding becuase its about 15 hours away ( or more). So we are planning an intimate ceremony fallowed by a dinner.
Upon our arrival home, two weeks after our wedding, we are having our reception and dance, on the 27th of August. This date happens to be my fiance's parents anniversary. We knew this when choosing our dates, and his mother was hinting that it was a good day for a wedding when we were still trying to decide on our date. So I know they are ok with us sharing the date. But I wanted my own day, my own anniversary, so when we decided on a destionation wedding we had the idea to have the reception on the same day as they were married.
But, since we are only having a dinner after our ceremony, we are saving our first dance, cake cutting and garter and bouquet toss for the dinner and dance reception. So the focal point of the evening will be celebrating out marriage, but Id like to do something nice for my future inlaws aswell, this is where Im gettig stumped. What are some ways to include them and their marriage of 33 years?
