No Best Man?

Have you ever been to a wedding where there was a Maid of Honor but no Best Man (and no groomsmen either)?

  • Not personally, but I wouldn't think anything of it if I did.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Ditto PP. I haven't been to a wedding with this scenario, but it's completely fine if this is how your wedding is.

  • I went to a wedding where the bride had three bridesmaids and had her military husband stand up with two of her male friends. That was weird, he hadn't even met them before the wedding. It would have made much more sense if she just had her BMs and didn't ask their husbands to stand up to be space fillers. I think a groom standing by himself looks fine.

  • Thank you, everyone! I will stop agonizing about this.

Probably.  I've seen every variation on the theme, except ... I have never been to a wedding with either a ring bearer or flower girl.
