Step sisters in wedding party??

I am confused as to if I want my two step sisters in my wedding party. We aren't really really close, but we do get along etc. I was planning for my bestfriend to be my MOH, and my brothers girlfriend who has been in the family for 6 years. My step sisters and my brothers girlfriend are closer than I am with them so in the past they usually are clicky together where I feel left out and don't feel always part of the group. There are more times like that then where we are a whole. I overall like my stepsisters but my mother says I shouldn't have them in the wedding party if I think they'd be clicky and not be respectful that its my day. I'm hoping it wouldn't be that way but I am confused if I should or not. My step sister with her ex engagement, did have me be part of her bridal party, if that makes a difference. Just need some advice because I want them in my bridal party but at the sametime am worried if it'd turn into another leaving me out thing..or how could I go about changing that (politely) if it turned into that. Advice please....?

Ask them only if you want them. Take your brother's gf out of the question. If she wasnt there, would you want your stepsisters in your WP?

I do not understand being confused about whether or not you want someone in your WP. Our WP consisted of the people we could call at 3a.m. to help us hide a body. It was a no-brainer. If you have to think about it, you're doing it wrong. As for feeling left out, you're the bride. It's pretty much impossible for you to be left out during the wedding planning process, so if your fear of that is all that is holding you back, then you should ask them.

Only have those who are closest to you in your WP. There is no obligation to have people just because they are family.
