Bridesmaid & Groomsmen color coordination!!

Hey guys, i'm new to this whole thing, and i have a question about wedding party color coordination...
my bridesmaid dresses are coral, now my question is can my groomsmen wear a different color tie/vest other than coral? i was thinking either aqua/teal or a light green color (i saw it in a mens warehouse ad, and loved the colors)
my mother is very very traditional and says they have to match!

Of course you can have them be different if you want. My bridesmaids wore purple dresses while the guys had grey tuxes with grey vests and lavender ties. Same color family but was way easier than trying to find an exact match to the bridesmaid dresses.

you can coordinate without an exact match. i think it looks better that way. My bridesmaids are wearing blue, and the guys are going with black tux with silver vest.

As long as the colors coordinate it will look good. Depending on what colors you go with, maybe your florist can add something to the girls bouquets in the color the guys will be wearing to tie it all together.

They don't have to match. However I would urge you to make sure you really, really like all the bright colors vs. a vest that matches the suit itself. Personally, bright colored suits make me thing of prom.
