Inexpensive Ceremony Venues

Does anyone have any suggestions on some inexpensive ceremony venues (less than $1,000)? I've been thinking of doing a quiant ceremony somewhere and then reserving a banquet room in a restaurant for the meal. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks, Nicole

My venue is the botanical gardens and they can be VERY inexpensive depending on what time of day, how many people and what day you chose. Go to www.sabot.org and click on rentals so you can see their different areas and there's a PDF link with the prices and times of day they are available.

Mission Concepcion is $625! It is old and beautiful! Call the mission and they will give you the coordinators number.

The Little Church of La Villita is only $700. It is small (only about 80 people fit) but it sounds like you are having a small ceremony. Here is link for more info.http://lavillita.com/church/

You want to call the churches if you're looking at them because a few have raised their prices due to costs going up. I'm not sure if you'd want an outdoor or indoor ceremony. What time of year are you getting married in?

You could also try state/national parks. Some of them are gorgeous. Also, in Austin there's Chapel Dulcinea. Free ceremony, and there's Tuscon hall just a short walk away, or you could find a place in Austin.

I went to a wedding at paesanos on 1604. The ceremony took place outside and then we moved into a private room for dinner. Not sure if they charge extra for the ceremony, but it's something you might like since you're planning on doing the reception at a restaurant anyway. Good Luck!
