Dress for Plus-Size MOH

I have a MOH that is needing a large plus size.  Are there any designers that go larger in sizes than others?

Alfred Angelo, David's Bridal...how big?

Well I haven't had that conversation with her yet (I know I know I gotta do that).  Let me ask this....is sizing for a bridesmaid dress the same as for bridal meaning the sizes run small?  If so, that's where I may have problems.  I know a lot of David's Bridal runs to a size 30 and I don't know if that'll work.  Guess I gotta ask but I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on certain designers either running bigger than others or working on special orders for larger sizes.

BM dresses run similar if not the same as bridal gowns. Yes they are smaller, and they totally suck for that reason.

If you are scared about her not being able to find a dress, you should let her get a black dress from wherever she can find one and let her wear that one....or get fabric in a similar color and get one made for her.

If you are really worried, it would be easier to give the girls a color and length and let them shop where ever.  Black always looks great especially with a sash in your wedding color.

I told my girls any black dress, because I had sizes 2-24 and I didn't want to try to find something that flattered them all.  My two plus-sized BMs looked mainly at shops that catered to plus-sized women, and both got their dresses at Kiyonna.

David's Bridal has plus sizes up to 28-30 for BM's. Otherwise, as some of the other girls mentioned, you can have her buy fabric and take to a tailor who can custom make a dress to fit her body style
