My brother's fiance asked me to be a bridesmaid in their wedding. I said of course, and she started planning. She's been pretty awesome with everything, except now she's decided that they're doing a cruise wedding. They're getting married October 2012, but here's my problem. I have 2 girls who she's asked to be flower girls. They will both be in school. Not to mention I will now have to buy 4 cruise tickets and take off a week of vacation that I was planning to use for my own wedding/honeymoon at the end of the year.
When the wedding was local, it wasn't a big deal because I wouldn't have to pay for a hotel, and I'd be able to afford all of the dresses, pre-wedding parties etc. But this is really putting a strain on my budget. I don't expect her to change her wedding (although I'll be disappointed to miss my only brother's wedding), but at the same time I need to find a way to tell her that we might not be able to make it.
Another note is she's a little wishy-washy right now. So I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill if she decides to change her mind next month, I was thinking of waiting to say something when she actually books the cruise for the wedding.
Thoughts?
