how old is to old for a ring berrer and flower girl?

So I'm recently engaged and am planning a wedding for 2012. I have a 3 year old son(now) who will be close to 6 when we get married. I'd love to have him as my ring berrer but I think he might be to old then. My FH wants his neice to be the flower girl also. She just turned 2 so when we get married she'll be 5, is she to old too?

Generally, about 3-8 is the usual cut-off. It sounds like these two will be the perfect age!My ring bearer will be 4 and my flower girl will be almost 8...definitely not too old!I'm just curious...how old were you thinking they should be? They have to be at LEAST three in most cases to really understand what they're doing...five years old is like the absolute perfect age, IMHO.

My RB (FI's nephew) is 8. And growing up, I played the role of FG at age 7, so I think you're fine

Too old is when they are old enough to think and say that they are too old 6 is not too old

I dont think 6 is too old for that! At my friends wedding the flower girl was her sister in law and she was 15 for that time!

5 and 6 is definitely not too old. perfect ages.  anyone under 3 is too unpredictable.. you don't know what they are going to do when it's time to go down the aisle lol

Ok I thought they wouldn't be too old, but while talking about when I was getting married someone was like "oh, that's awhile away, your son would be to old for that job anymore." So I was just wondering.

My RB was 6; FG was 7.I think 4 or 5 should be the MINIMUM for RB and FG.  Anything else is just too young IMO.
