Periwinkle BM Dresses

I'm having a hard time finding periwinkle bridesmaid dresses that meet the following criteria: 1) Have stores nationwide (or at least Boston, NY, DC) but NOT David's Bridal (they have a few light blue shades but don't quite match what I'm looking for)2) Preferably under $200Anyone else using periwinkle-like colors?

You could try Alfred Angelo.  I don't know how widespread their stores are, but I know it's similar to a David's Bridal.  It looks like they have several shades that may work for you, and they're not super-expensive either.

You could try Aria bridesmaids.  They have locations in Boston, LA and DC (P street, off the dupont circle metro stop).  They have a periwinkle-ish purple color in silk shantung fabric that I'm going to use!  It's called purple, and if you go to their site, it's the color of the dress on the top row of the designs section, second from the left.Tea length silk shantung dresses are $200 (satin dresses are ~165, I think), and the woman I met with in DC said that she doubts the prices will go up any time soon.  Also, they have a 'try on' program that costs $15 per dress, but may be cheaper than driving to get to boston or DC.  HTH!www.ariadress.com

Swim: I do like the aria dresses!  I've looked into those but I read or heard somewhere that all the Bridesmaids have to be measured and ordered at the same time.  Do you know if that's actually true?  Or can one in DC and one in NY go in themself and order individually?

They need to be ordered at the same time, and can be measured at any point up until a specific date you want to have the order in by.  If one person is paying, she needs everyone's information so she can fill out one set of paperwork.If everyone is paying separately, then they need to fill out separate forms and give them to one person, who can send them in (mail or fax).  This to make sure everyone has ordered from the same fabric dye lot.  So, your BMs can all get measured separately, they just need to have it done by a deadline to it can all be sent in together.  There is more on the website, under ordering.  GL!
