Wedding Party

2 options

so there are 3 sets of pews in the church and i was looking for creative ways to have everyone walk down and then back up the asile. Any one have good ideas?

Re: 2 options

  • I assume you mean that you have a two aisle church.  I work as an organist in a two aisle church, and coincidentally was also married in a two aisle church. It's easy to do,.  Okay, imagine yourself standing in the back looking at the altar. The aisle in the left is the "bride's" aisle.  Your family sits on that side on the left center of the church.  The aisle on your right is the "groom's" aisle.  His family sits on that side in the right center of the church. For your processional, your groom and his WP stand at the front of the church with the minister. You and your BMs walk down the left aisle (your aisle) for the processional and you meet at the front of the church.  After the ceremony, you and your groom and your WP exit up the right aisle ("his" aisle) for the recessional.GL
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • I agree with Trix's suggestion, but our Church coordinator also suggested another option which we are probably going to use.The bridesmaids still enter from the left, and the groomsman enter from the right in pairs. They meet at the altar and then go to their respective sides. But when we exit, me and my FI will still exit on the right side as Trix said.

  • We had our bm rotate going up each asile, and then the two flowers girls each went up their own asile. I went down the left and we went out the left as well so that we could hide out in a little room while everyone got set up for the group photo.
