2 maids of honor

I have 2 sisters, and wouldn't dream of hurting one of their feelings, by not asking them both to be my maids of honor. I just wanted some opinions because I have never been to a wedding where there were 2 MOH. Would like to know what you think. Thanks.

Re: 2 maids of honor

  • My sister and I were "co-maids of honor" for our cousin's wedding.  We split the MOH duties, I think I held her bouquet and my sister straightened her dress....it worked fine.  I think your sisters would be happy to share the role.
  • I have a maid of honor and a matron of honor.  I think its totally fine.  My sister 10 years ago had 2 maids of honor.
  • It's not a new idea nor an unusual one.  Have one sister stand closer to you, and the other sign the license.  It's fine.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • Go for it, I'm sure they will be excited.
  • Sounds great!DH is Co-BM in his brother's wedding in three weeks.  There are also Co-MsOH as well.  I think it's a great way that the bride and groom are honoring the two closest people to them.
  • I think its a great idea. I am having two MOHs as well and am really happy with my choice- I couldn't choose between these two friends.
