Parent/In-Law Gifts..

Hello Knotties!!! You guys are the best at giving wedding day advice so I have a question for you...What are some great (but inexpensive) gifts that we can get for our parents? We really want to thank them for their help with the wedding but I have no idea what to get them!! We want it to be thoughtful but we are really on a budget since we have had to pay for most of this wedding on our own. The wedding is September 19, 2009...so soon!!!! :-) Any ideas? Thanks girls!Allisonacmonkey04@yahoo.com

I know gift cards may not be the most thoughtful gift but I wanted to give my parents a little something they really would like or enjoy. I will most likely do a gift card for my mom to the Aveda Institute. She loves that place! For my dad, maybe a gift card to Home Depot--he goes there every weekend  (literally), lol. As for a more thoughtful gift, once I get my pictures from the wedding, I will also be putting together a photo album for them. My other idea was maybe paying for a weekend getaway to Comfort or Fredericksburg TX to do a wine tasting or something like that. Good luck!

i was just gonna make a post about this because i have no idea what to get them either.  i feel bad just getting them a gift for $100 or so, when they paid wayyyy more than that for the wedding. i do like the idea of a weekend getaway. they would love that. i was also thinking about getting them flights to come see us since we'll be living in michigan after the wedding but im not sure.

Ugh...I am having this problem too and my wedding is on 9/6.  I have no idea what to get my parents.  I mean, I know that once the wedding is over, I will probably make them a photo album of wedding pics,  but I also wanted to have something to give them at the rehearsal dinner.

We booked a bed and breakfast weekend for our parents and us to all go to together. Our parents get along really well and all both sets of parents care about is time spent with us so I think they'll love this! We basically booked a whole house but it's going to be about $500 for the whole weekend for all of us and that includes breakfast. We're excited and I think our parents will be psyched! A lot of my friends bought their families framed wedding portraits so that's a way to go too!
