Bridesmaid dresses

Ok I am having  3 bridesmaid. All different shapes and size..   One wants a  cocktail dress one want a empire waist and One want straps... I love the cocktail dress idea... So thats  one thing I want, but  Do u think it tacky if they wear a different type a dress but all in the same color..

    Not tacky at all...a lot more people are doing this lately.  It allows your BM to be individuals.

    That's exactly what I will be doing. I have 6 bridesmaids so finding a designer with 6 different dresses, same fabric, same length, and same color...Coral. I really think I dug myself a whole I can't get out of. Also, I've heard that your bridesmaid dresses should somewhat match the bride. Is this true? If so, what exactly are they referring to? Thanks and best of luck to everyone...
