Update: Bad planning

I recieved an update from another friend who attended the wedding. She said that they brought in some cheap space heaters, so they had heat. However she described it as "The wedding was just sort of middle of the road i guess" -direct quote. So that's a bummer. Now I'm wondering, what would make a wedding middle of the road to you? I guess for me it would be a short bland/non-personal ceremony and then no time with the bride and groom. I guess a lot of the atmosphere comes from the bride and groom too. If they are really enjoying it, it makes the wedding better.

Re: Update: Bad planning

  • WTF, who complains about the wedding to the actual bride and groom?! I would NEVER tell a B&G that I didn't like something at their wedding. That being said, I have no clue as to what that means. Maybe like she felt like a stick in the mud. She sucks, Im sorry!

  • Where's your previous post?  From just checking out this one, it did seem like you could have been the bride, not another guest.
  • It's down the page. Bad Planning From: blackfire5th Date: 10/8/2009 at 2:01 PM This isn't wedding party related, but one of my bm was invited to a friends wedding for this weekend. It is in Colorado (where they both live) and is outside. It is snowing there now and is suppose to snow this weekend. When my bm called to make sure they is an alternate site, the bride told her there is a building on the grounds, but it doesn't have heat. My bm has a 4 month old, so has decided not to attend. Talk about bad planning! First, Colorado is cold in October! It's sometimes rainy/snowy in October. Why would you not have an indoor alternative with heat!

  • Ok, my bad. Thought YOU were the bride. Well, I wouldn't pay attention to her. I guess it means that the wedding was dull.

  • Well, middle-of-the-road means not completely sucky, at least. So I assume everyone was warm enough.Middle of the road weddings to me are usually huge, impersonal, and have dry or bland food. Or not a lot of organization, like what time things should start, which sounds like it could have been the case here.

  • She sounds like a peach.... I had a wedding guest who went to the local bar for the after party and the first thing he yelled as soon as he walked in was "this town sucks!" I've seen it all. People suck and have their opinions. Best to just ignore them. If everyone else had a good time, you did good.
