Groomsmen outfits!

My fiance' wants the groomsmen to wear black cowboy hats and vests... what is the best way to keep cost low and still look really nice?

Re: Groomsmen outfits!

  • I would ask your local board if there are stores in your area where you can buy these things.Or, if a lot of people in your area dress in cowboy gear, maybe the regular tux shops and menswear shops will have them for rental. Call and ask.

  • This is really popular in my home town. The men wear wranglers, vests, and blazers. If that's your taste, do it. Not sure how to keep the cost down though.

  • Hats of any kind are pricey.  (We spent weeks trying to find FI a fedora that he liked that wasn't ridiculously expensive.)  See if there's a costume rental shop in your area that might have a better deal (look for theatrical costume rental as well as the Halloween type stores), or start scouring eBay and Craigslist.  You might have an easier time if they don't have to match exactly.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
