Groomsman Gift Ideas?!?!?!

I need some ideas for our groomsman gifts. We want them to be different/unique but still practical. We want something that they will use again. Everything I look at is the same stuff, cuff links, money clips and flasks. We wanted to do something a little different. If you have any ideas please let me know! Thanks!!!!

Re: Groomsman Gift Ideas?!?!?!

  • Shop as if it were their birthday, you don't have to get them all the same thing.  Although, your FI should really be the one buying the gifts for the groomsmen.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • If they're your FI's friends, let him handle it. However, assuming he's asking you for advice and then you're coming here ... just tell him to get them something he'd normally get them for a birthday or Christmas or another special gift. My FI is thinking of things like cigars, BBQ or tailgating kits, coolers and beer, sports tickets, hats/sweatshirts/attire from their favorite teams, gift cards, wallets, etc. Don't be afraid to get each guy something different, and really think about their personalities and hobbies.

  • FI got his groomsman Hermes ties, and they were a huge hit.  We liked the fact that it is a gift they would all use (they all have jobs that require a suit on occasion) and is something of high quality that will never go out of style.
  • DH went into a knife shop and got something that he though each of his gm would like.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • FI found the guys capcatcher bottle openers fromhttp://www.capcatchers.comthey're different, unique, and something the guys will actually use again. They came out really great. FI liked them so much he ordered one for us with our names and W/D on it! We also wanted something unique, FI has like 5 flasks and sets of cufflinks from friends, and they all just sit in a drawer unused. I hardly know anyone who actually uses a flask, but pretty much everyone drinks beer!
  • not sure how much you want to spend...FI bought his GM valet chargers (for Ipods, Cellphones, etc).
