Wedding Party

Ring Bearer question

I am planning on having my 2 nephews be my ring bearers (age 5 and 7).  I have asked their parents but I would like to formally ask the boys in some way.  I am crafty and asked my bridesmaids with a handmade card and gift.  I would like to do something similar to this with the boys, but obviously something they would enjoy.Any ideas? I'm thinking something along the lines of food or toys.  I don't want it to be too elaborate or $$, just something to let them know I appreciate their help.

Re: Ring Bearer question

  • Candy is my bet. I think a card or a speech would be lost on kids that young.

  • Kids just want to be asked, they don't care how. We asked our 10 year old RBs over the phone and they were ecstatic. So were our 9 year old FGs. There doesn't need to be anything to accompany it. If you really want to give them something, ditto that candy is your best bet. Cheap and worth its weight in gold to kids.
