Need help with BM dress issue

It's for a friend's wedding in late December. I know I need a strapless bra, but the back band has to be skinny or clear or somehow work with the back of the dress. I'm a 32dd so going without is out of the question! This is the dress: http://www.watters.com/dress_popup.php?showid=986&id=1

Re: Need help with BM dress issue

  • For one of my BM dresses, my alterations lady created a loop that I slid my bra strap in so it would stay in place behind the dress fabric.  Maybe you could have something like that done?

  • That IS a good question. I can't imagine trying to get my D's in that thing. Once, I found a strapless at Victorias Secret that was a plunge, so the cups were not connected with very much in the front. However, the band was too wide for the back of that dress. I wonder if they have clear ones that are similar, Have you thought about asking to have cups sewn in the front? I would be worried that with anything less than a long-line bra, you may fold over in the front or create a line in the back, and that wouldnt' be pretty at all. The dress is pretty, though, just not for those of us who need support.

  • Whoa, poor choice of a dress for a friend with a larger chest! What about cups built into the dress or chicken cutlets? Or something like this: http://tinyurl.com/yd95wxo

  • I had to do strapless backless for a dress, and got a bra from VS that I stick to myself with double-sided tape. Of course, I'm not DD, so I don't know how it'd be for you, but bras like that *are* out there.
  • I'm a large chested girl (F) and I got a strapless bra that has a double latch on each side (close to the cups) so that I can change out a normal toned back strap for a clear one.  It has saved me when i am wearing a low cut dress or top so that I can have a bra and not worry about the back strap showing.  I got mine at Lane Bryant (though I don't know if they go down to a 32) but they are out there.  You might want to try a specialty bra store...
