Wedding Party

Bridesmaids gifts

What did you all get your bridesmaids, or what are you planning on getting them?  Is there something you have been given as a bridesmaid that you really loved?

Re: Bridesmaids gifts

  • I gave each BM a crystal/pearl jewelry set that I found on clearance online and made each one a photo album that covered our entire friendships.

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

  • I got each of mine a different gift. Sword, Dragon Plaque, VS lotions, New Book by Favorite author, massage, and Dragon figurine.
My Grandparents on their wedding day.

  • I'm going to have to echo Stage on the multi-tool. The best gift my dad ever gave me was a swiss army knife keychain. I used that thing for EVERYTHING. Then I started flying all the time and had to take it off the keychain :(

  • Like Stage, it looks like a good chunk of the "gift" budget for our siblings is going to go toward helping cover their hotel costs.  I don't think we've picked out any other gifts, except a nice chess set for the best man.  I found a seller on Etsy who makes really cool necklaces out of Scrabble tiles; I got one for each of my bridesmaids and one for each of the moms, with a design particular to each of them.  That's not the only thing I'm getting for them, they were just cute and cheap, and I thought it would be a nice little addition.I've only been in a couple of weddings, and the gifts were kind of lame.  Nothing really memorable.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • We gave our girls tickets to LOVE since we had our wedding in Vegas. They absolutely loved LOVE. After my DH printed the logo of the show put it in a picture frame along with the ticket stub. *I like how you did your epics at the boneyard*
  • Oh, tickets to Love is an awesome idea!  If we were getting married in Vegas (where we live) I would do that in a second!!!Thanks, we had a ton of fun taking the pictures at The Boneyard, it is such an awesome place! Thanks everyone else for your ideas too, keep them coming!
  • I got them all diamond and aquamarine necklaces, cute black beaded flip flops ( I actually bought a pair for myself first. They each saw them and loved them so I bought them each a pair for the reception...or whenever else.) I also sent out a survey asking favorite drinks, restaurants, hobbies...etc and I'll get them each a small GC. I actually knew the answer to the survey questions but I needed a clever way to get all of their shoe sizes for the flip flops. :)

  • clseale13, where did you get the beaded flip flops?  I would love to see them!
  • I gave my BMs necklaces that I thought they'd like - not as jewelry to wear in the wedding.
  • I did a but more than I planned.  A giftcard to each of their favorite store, a simple picture frame with a pic of us from the bach-party, a jewelry roll (each in a print/style that matched their personality), and just for fun a Koozie cup with each girls initial monogrammed on to it in my wedding colors for the party bus the day of the wedding.  It wasn't part of their gift, but I also offered to pay for their hair if they wanted it done.  For my MOHs I also treated them to makeup and a manicure.
