I went to buy it yesterday online... And the sale price had vanished..... And in its place was the original price. FML I called the online store and tried to coax it out of the lady, but she said that the sale had ended wednesday at midnight!!!! So now I am left with the decision....wait it out and see if there's a sale and run the risk of the coat running out, or buying it now and paying $340 for it.

I'd wait for another sale. Or check retailmenot.com and see if you can find a coupon code.

I went to retailme not last night and they have nothing. I also went around to find it somewhere else and the best I could find was free shipping, but I'm already getting free shipping! I also found a 20% off coupon, but it only applies to sale items. Since the coat is no longer on sale, I am sure it's not included.

Stina, that coat has been on J Crew's website for the past three years.  In different colors and whatnot, but still the same style.  I'd wait it out depending on how much you need a coat.  Closer to the holidays or right after, it may go on sale again.Sorry you missed this window!

Joy, you've had it for a while and the colors have never really changed right? I want it in dusty blossom (pink) and I'd be willing to wait if I knew I could get the sale price and the exact coat I want. I already have those 2 coats from the gap and my snow coat. And it doesn't get blistering cold until AFTER xmas.

I bought it about two months after it came out and they only offered three of four colors (black, white, navy and maybe a green...?).  But they have so many more colors now - I think - because it's become so popular.  I haven't seen too many things on J Crew's website with such longevity.  Are all the colors still on the website?  If the sale's purpose wasn't to clean out the colors they didn't want anymore, I bet they will still have them at the next sale.But, I don't work for them (I'm a scientist, actually) so these are just my guesses!

Stina, are you on their mailing list for sales and promos?  They have TONS of them!  Hopefully the outerwear will be on sale again soon.

I get e-mailes from Jcrew all the time with discounts and promo codes that are only availabel for a day or two. Nothing current now though. I'd say get on their e-mail list and wait it out a couple weeks.

Ok, I will def get on the mailing list. I am just so bummed because I did all the research and wanted to sleep on it a day, literally! I don't like to make big $300 purchases without consoling my DH and my besties first!

Don't worry yet!  I keep getting stuff from them all the time.  I wouldn't be surprised if they have another sale soon!

I keep talking about this coat with Dh and he finally told me to just buy it so he doesn't have to hear about it anymore....oops
