How is your dad doing? How is last minute wedding planning going? Will your dad be feeling well enough to partake in all of the wedding festivities?

You are SO sweet to ask! I really appreciate your concern. Dad finished his radiation treatments and they are giving him some time off because they can't keep radiating him 24/7. So since he's been off of radiation (about half a week now) he has been experiencing side effects--mostly a lot of pain and he can't sleep at night because of the pain. The docs want to prescribe him some major painkillers (vicodin or morphine) but my sis and I are against this because its SO bad for his liver. It seems as though the docs just want to stop his suffering and have stopped caring whether or not the meds will hurt his liver. Ugh. Maybe that was TMI, but it means so much to me that you asked and I have to answer honestly. The good news is that he is still okay to be there for the wedding as far as we know. BTW, your response to the post about "i know i'm irrational" was EXACTLY what I wanted to say but way more articulate!!!!!

That must be so hard on you and your family to watch him going through that. I can't even imagine. Every time I see you post I think about your situation and you seem to be doing really well, both in terms of keeping your spirits up and not freaking out. I think you're really strong and I'm happy that your wedding planning hasn't added tremendous stress on top of worrying about your dad. Yay for helpful vendors! Anyway...just wanted to check in and tell you that I was thinkin' of ya!
