Re: Which color?

• For what? Shoes, accessories, accent color, etc. ... this is a really broad question so please be more specific.

• I don't think you're counting down to enough things in your life.

• It depends on what scheme you want to go with. If you want elegant and traditional. pair those colors with silver or champagne. If you want a livelier look, I suggest aqua ( look up pics, its really very visually stunning) or even a pale yellow would look great especially as accents like shoe or flower colors. Not sure exactly what context you are using the other color in, so I can be more helpful if i know the direction you want to go.

• lol, i guess i got ticker happy. as far as the color. I made the post while highly frustrated after searchin for colors last night. Here's a bit more info: I was thinking of a fun, modern chic theme, it's going to be a small intimate wedding in SC. ceremony outside and reception inside. apple red is the primary color. I was wondering what could be the accent color. I loved the idea of aqua blue, but not everyone seems to "get" it. I really appreciate your help.
• Did the people who didn't 'get it' see pictures of aqua and red?  It's one of those color combinations that sounds strange and clashy in my mind but then looks great when I actually see it.
• Ah, gotcha, accent color. You don't HAVE to have one if you don't want one. But ditto PPs, I think that the cherry red and aqua blue scheme is awesome. I would've done it myself if I weren't set on green. Here's a cool bio that uses that color scheme: http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/user/default.aspx?username=pezywvu&NestProfile=0You could also use black - that's classic and would be super-easy to match. Some people also like pairing red with chocolate brown. A bright red (or maybe a fuschia pink) would look nice with a bright orange as well. Lime green would be cute. The navy blue look is nice and nautical like ffmaid said. You could also use pink as an accent color. Or you could just do different shades of red and make it monochromatic. Snippet And Ink is a great blog for color ideas. Here are her "Red" inspiration boards: http://snippetandink.blogspot.com/search/label/redWhat does your FI think? Mine was actually really vocal on what he liked and didn't like.

• The Perfect Palette has a ton of inspiration boards for red.  The gray, yellow, plum, and mango/yellow/gray combo all look modern and fun with red on her boards.http://theperfectpalette.blogspot.com/search/label/Red
• Oh, and for flowers my opinion would be to have white flowers for the BMs, or maybe pink. Deep purple flowers might also look nice ... bring a swatch of the BM dress to the florist and ask for help if you'd like. For the BMs' shoes, I would pick a neutral color - silver, gold, black - and let them get their own. Their shoes and jewelry do not need to factor into your color scheme, so it's totally fine to have them wear their own gold shoes but not use gold anywhere else in your color scheme, for example.

• thank you, u girls are life savers!!!
• I think Apple Green would be cool!  the flowers you choose could be green hydrangeas!
• Our bridesmaids dresses and other accents were "pear" green (a little warmer/more fall-ish than apple) and we had flowers with lots of red, plus golds, oranges, and I really liked it.  I think if the red is rich enough and the green pale enough, it doesn't look christmas-y.  also, I LOVE red with lighter blue, like aqua or a paler blue or tiffany blue.  pretty pretty, and very modern.  This will sound weird, but the December Better Homes and Gardens has an article about gift wrap that has lots of red with interesting color combos, like blue, etc.  check it out!

• Maybe a pink to liven up the color and make it more springy?
