Groom's Maid of Honour

My FI has decided to ask his sister to stand up for him at our wedding (which is awesome!) I'm going to list her a "Groom's Maid of Honour" in the program - is there any "right" wording or is that ok? Also - do I get her a bouquet as well or does she not carry flowers?

Thanks Ladies!

Re: Groom's Maid of Honour

  • My friend did this and she was the Best Woman or Groomsmaid or something. She wore the same dress (we all wore black and then men wore black suits). You can make it whatever you want. Personally, I'd still want flowers or a dress with pockets so I had somewhere for my hands.
  • She's the Best Woman.  Leave it up to her if she wants to wear a corsage or have a bouquet.  I had tried to leave it up to the bride and chose a bouquet after my BFF growled, "Look.  Do you want to carry your flowers or wear them."

  • Yup yup, Best Woman she is. Definitely ask her what she prefers to do with the flower-holding.

Absolutely let your FI ask his sister what her preferences are for her dress/attire and flowers.
