Pashmina color

My wedding's in April. The two BMs will be wearing black cocktail dresses with "meadow green" sashes, almost just like the bridesmaids here: http://with--this--ring.blogspot.com/2009/03/real-wedding-st-louis-missouri.html ... and they will be carrying pink gerbera daisy bouquets.

So, what color pashmina for them, green or black? I was thinking that green might pop more against the dresses, but I don't know if adding more green to the outfit would be "too much" with the pink bouquets. Black might be more failsafe. But it's a wedding and I want things to look cheerful, plus I love a pop of color against black.

They can wear the pashminas all day if they want, but I doubt they will ... just something to throw on if we're outside taking photos or whatever. I can get them in NYC for five bucks and it's easy to get both green and black, so those are not factors. I know that black is more re-usable, but for $5 I don't care if they never use them again.

I think the green will make it a bit more cheery and pop more.

I voted green b/c it sounds like you want green and I think either would work.

I want a $5 pashmina.  Are these online?

Green but try to bring a swatch of the sash with you. It might look silly if the 2 greens are really different in color.

I agree. I have an extra sash so I planned on taking that along when I look for them.

I live a stone's throw from New York City, and street vendors there sell them for $5 (and sometimes you can talk them down a bit if you're buying in bulk). If it helps, I've gotten some nice ones on eBay and AmazingCollections.com in the past.

I voted green. FWIW, I almost always suggest "when in doubt, use black", since it's always nice, but green just seems better for an April wedding.
